Part of the *Deviant: Women, Sex & the Monstrous* exhibition and publication in collaboration with writer Tracy Heather Johnson, *Milk & Eggs* is a visceral rejection of feminine domesticity and the ‘tidy woman.’ Inspired by the infamous subway scene in *Possession* (1981), this piece captures the raw, unfiltered chaos of transformation, desire, and rupture. It explores the monstrous feminine as a force that refuses containment—where the body, ungoverned and unashamed, dissolves into something primal and unknowable.
The central figure, both commanding and undone, is entangled in a turbulent fusion of organic and aquatic elements, her form merging with swirling waters and amorphous creatures. Her flaming red hair and contorted expression suggest an ecstatic unraveling—an abandonment of the passive, ordered roles so often imposed on women. There is no restraint here, no neatness, no careful composure—only the ferocity of transformation and the body in its most fluid, uncontrollable state.
Rendered in rich, textural strokes and dynamic movement, *Milk & Eggs* invites the viewer into a space where seduction and horror intertwine, where femininity is both rupture and rebellion.
Each print is carefully reproduced to capture the intricate details and luminous textures of the original, making it a powerful and evocative addition to any collection.
